You always want to have kids when you get older, but the thought of it being actually real is overwhelming.  When I found out we were going to have a child, it became a defining moment in my life.  My life will be different from here on out, and I am very excited about it!

Wow, so much has happened this year already...I am so excited that Derek and I are going to be parents!!!  We've always wanted children, and didn't expect for all this to happen so quickly.  This is truly God's plan for us, and we couldn't have asked for anything more...

I will be finishing my student teaching and master's thesis this fall while I coach cheerleading. (Should keep me busy enough during the last months of my pregnancy...) I'm due December 6th - which is my Dad's birthday and the feast of St. Nicholas!  It's hard to believe we'll have a beautiful little person with us at Christmas...It's all happening so fast, and I couldn't be happier.

We are so incredibly blessed by God to have had a healthy beginning to this pregnancy.  We are also so blessed with the absolute best family and friends anyone could ask for.  Our faith in God and the love around us will be our guiding light through any situation as parents.
